BIOGRAPHY

In my work I endeavour to capture the instability of life and allude to the beauty and fragility of the natural environment. My work is painted in the ‘ala prima’ style, so as to record discarded remains and the detritus of human existence in the natural environment. The traces of human history such as books and embodied remains of consumerism are contrasted with the closely painted landscape.

The worn, deteriorating surfaces and faded colours of the litter have developed their own organic quality, their own life.
